The Annual Athletic Meet: Where Stars Emerge and Friendships Surge

The school’s Annual Athletic Meet was held successfully on 6th November and 3rd December of 2025 in a joyful and ebullient atmosphere. Sapphire claimed the overall championship title, securing the throne for the third consecutive year, a testament to their unity and dedication. On the energetic sports ground, students participated enthusiastically both on and off the field. From the fierce track and field competitions to the echoing cheers from the crowd, the stadium was filled to the brim with passion, laughter and unity. 

 

Competition among the four houses was intense. Countless athletes took part in multiple events and gave their best to score points for their houses, while house captains, committee members and spectators cheered and applauded for the competitors. The well-designed slogans they shouted represented their sincere support and strong sense of unity. Even before the meet began, house committee members organised training sessions for students to familiarize themselves with the thrill of racing across the sports ground. 

 

For S6 students, this was the final opportunity to break a sweat at the Athletic Meet. Students from different classes cheered for their schoolmates and teachers alike. The Graduation Class Relay concluded with exuberant and camaraderie, and teachers shook hands with the graduates after the thrilling race. 

 

Beyond the athletes, the contributions of student helpers from different houses must not be overlooked. Members of uniformed groups and prefects carried out their duties diligently. Various student officials fulfilled their roles by serving as assistant referees to ensure accurate results, taking roll calls to guarantee punctuality, and announcing match updates to energize the audience. Well-trained and capable of handling multiple tasks. their dedication and sense of responsibility were vital to the smooth running of the event. Without their support, the meet would not have proceeded so seamlessly, nor would the sports ground have been filled with such passion and vitality. 

 

This special occasion also brought friends together, both new and old. While photographs captured these moments, it was the shared slogans, matching shirts, collective experiences, and vibrant energy that truly united the students, alumni, particularly former house captains, seized this opportunity to reunite with teachers and friends, showing their support for the younger students and for the houses they once proudly called home. 

 

With the click of a shutter, the memories of this year’s Annual Athletic Meet were frozen in time and etched in the hearts of many. As students took their final group photos on the sports ground, the grand event came to a close. Filled with thrilling yet heartwarming moments, the Athletic Meet showcased the talents and passion of all participants and fostered strong bonds among teachers, students and alumni. This unforgettable occasion will remain deeply imprinted in our memories, and we promised one another that we would meet here again next year.
